Step inside and you'll be greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere filled with the delightful aromas of freshly brewed coffee and baked goods. The eclectic décor enhances the café's character, giving it that unique edge that many local establishments strive for, yet few achieve. With a seating arrangement tucked into a quaint corner of an antique shop, it feels like stepping into a curated experience, each table imbued with its own charm.

As for the menu, prepare to be enchanted. The friendly staff are always eager to assist as you peruse the delicious options. The hot chocolate here is a standout, made from actual high-quality chocolate that is nothing short of indulgent. Depending on your mood, you can opt for the classic House Made Hot Chocolate at just £3.50 or go all-out with the Special Hot Chocolate topped with whipped cream and sprinkles for £4.50.

But the delights don't stop there! Turn your attention to their coffee selection, where choices like the rich Mocha (£3.50), creamy Flat White (£3.25), and exotic Beetroot Latte (£3.50) will tantalize your taste buds. Customers rave about the tentatively crafted drinks, evident in reviews praising not just the warmth of their beverages, but the heart that goes into every cup.

And let's talk about food! The café serves a range of wholesome dishes that are anything but ordinary. The Mumbai sandwich/salad has gained a cult following, with patrons declaring it one of the best they've ever had. Add to that a fine selection of cakes—many guests recommend the flight of cakes for the ultimate sugar fix paired with a comforting drink. And if you’re looking for a light bite, you cannot go wrong with their homemade lemonade or a freshly baked cheese scone, both highly praised by regulars and newcomers alike.

Best cafe in Bakewell hands down. I'd recommend the flight of cakes if you're not visiting for lunch - great selection and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The cinnamon dunker biscuit is a must with a coffee. Great lunches too, really interesting flavours not your boring cafe food by any stretch! 10/10

Was in Bakewell for the food & drink festival and wanted some time away from the hustle & bustle and came across this gem of a place. Quirky, cosy and very friendly with the most amazing food. The Mumbai sandwich/salad is now one of the best sandwiches I've had, I honestly didn't want it to end ! My wife had a simple egg on toast and loved the taste. Even a mug of tea was a delight with a novel way of serving(I won't spoil the surprise) All in all we will 100% be heading back here, we enjoyed every minute. Cracking food served in a lovely atmosphere. Thanks to all staff. X

This is the best and most authentic café I've been in for a long time. Food cooked with love and served with love and a little humour. Fresh products and a care for sustainability. A few tables in the corner of an Antique shop. I almost didn't want to write this review, as it's the kind of place you'd like to keep a secret. We loved it so much we had breakfast and came back for lunch on the same day, before leaving Bakewell for home.

I thought the rave reviews of this cafe must be exaggerating, but they really weren't. Excellent food for reasonable prices with friendly and helpful service. Plus, lots of interesting vegetarian and vegan options. I really couldn't have asked for more.

Tremendous! Everything a local cafe should be. Each morsel prepared with love whether it be food or drink. Fantastic eggs, coffee and Bakewell tart. Thank you!

Beautiful and delicious late lunch. This is our second time of visiting this cafe when in the area. We deliberately sought it out after our walk because of the ethical nature of this business. Would highly recommend the cheese scone plus!
